LOL!!! That was great!

Yeah, there's always been somewhat of a strained relationship between Zangief and Balrog for some reason. The second feature film makes that especially evident at the Las Vegas exhibition match in that exchange between Zangief on the stage and Balrog in the stands. This video gives us some clues as to Balrog's issues with him but I can only guess that Zangief's resentment for Balrog may stem from the fact that Balrog got to qualify as a Boss Character while Zangief did not, regardless of the fact that Zangief worked for Bison, too, and was part of the same team.

I guess I can sympathize with the Red Cyclone. I mean, really, is Balrog THAT much more intelligent than Zangief to qualify as a Boss Character? Let's not forget that, after Bison was killed by Akuma, it was Balrog who promptly mismanaged Shadowlaw right into the ground.

Then again, because of Zangief's opposition to Shadowlaw, it was always kept from him that he was actually working for that very organization in the first place!

If they ever do a movie about Zangief, it should be called, "Clueless in Thailand"!
