Sean T. Krishnan, our beloved co-star who plays Dhalsim on SF:TLY, opened to good reviews the other night at The Acorn on Theater Row. Sean made the cover of the New York Times Arts section (and is also seen inside) in a really nice review of "Rafta, Rafta", the award winning hit comedy from England, now playing Off-Broadway. It won the Olivier Award for Best Comedy of 2007 and seems to be on a winning track here in the States as well.
I was privileged to witness the show in previews recently and I enjoyed it thoroughly. Excellent casting, great chemistry among the characters, touching and very funny. Nice, also, to get to see Sean as a bad guy once in a while.
I suspect "Rafta, Rafta" will be Sean Krishnan's next big hit! He won't, therefore, be a regular in the cast of "Street Fighter Reunion" but he looks forward to joining us as a recurring guest star as Dhalsim when his schedule permits.
Speaking of "SF Reunion", I'm afraid that the pilot episode is being again rewritten, this time to bring in as many of the already planned subplots right into the very first episode along with the ones already covered. Just one of the many little hurdles any new series experiences before launch. Hang tight, though; we believe that the changes and additions will now make the premiere episode even better! It means spreading out more of the existing story line over more episodes in the first season than had been expected but that's what allows us to introduce so many of the other twists and turns right from the very start which, we promise you, will grab you right by the throat.
Also, quite a few of the additional SF characters whom so many of you have been requesting outside of the Big 12 will now be challenging our re-established Street Fighters. Expect to see some of them portrayed by established stars you'll recognize, a la Batman.
All of our regular characters are on board now:
TJ Glenn as Vega Luis de Amechazurra as M. Bison Mike Fass as Zangief Raw Le Jba as Balrog Lev Gorn as Ken Ana Parsons as Chun Li Nick Raio as Guile
Other original cast members will be making guest appearances and there are other nice surprises as well.
Thanks in advance for your patience. We promise that we're working round the clock to get this action and comedy packed series in production as soon as possible.
