In movies and television it's done all the time. On our show, for instance, I'm the producer, Jose Lara, Garrett Fennelly, Karen-Marie Hamilton and Hilory Beckford are the associate producers and Eric Pearson is our line producer. We have several investors all lining up to finance us and, whoever is the one to actually come through first gets to be named executive producer in the credits. Even if they've never held that title before, it will carry a lot of clout for any other endeavor he or she takes on in the future. The title opens a lot of other doors. It sometimes also ensures a place for them at the bargaining table regarding everything from syndication rights to merchandising if the investment is of a partnership nature.

The lowest possible starting point is $2,000,000.00 because investors will not even consider anything smaller. But, as long as they're on board officially as benefactors, they get executive producer credit.
