When you think of it being later years you would think that Guile might be old, and fat with a hairstyle that is so out of date. What was your thoughts on how me might have looked by now.

Something that might give you a clue is the identity of the actor portraying him.

Colonel Guile is being played by very fast rising star, Nick Raio, whom you may remember from "The Sopranos", various movies and other television shows, and some great sketches from College Humor, including this favorite of mine:

Fun Fact: I was doing a camera test for another movie and, while waiting in the green room to go on, out of the testing room came Nick Raio who was testing for the same part! We instantly recognized each other and, at some point, he told me that Sam Reich had just cast him as Guile in our series! I was ecstatic! I knew he'd make a GREAT Guile and I have to applaud Sam once again for another terrific casting decision. As you can expect, he's an awesome man and a total hoot as Guile!

LOL! I get the feeling Guile may wind up being the most quoted character in this series!

"Sonic fuckin' boom!" may well become the quote of the year! And, yeah, all of Balrog's scenes do it for me, LOL!

I wondered that too, just assumed he wasnt in that day for filming for whatever reason.

Anyway, Guile is almost exactly how i thought he would be like, looks wise.

As for his attitude, well, genius. Grin

When I arrived on the set that morning, Nick had just finished his shot and was splitting for another production but you'll see more of him as the tournament progresses.

I know what you mean. Just like Zangief's sad fate, however, Guile's luck would change for the better soon, too. Now they're both back doing that which they love. I don't think Guile will be returning to his hot dog cart after this tournament.

I have tried all the crying techniques you listed, and never can seem to get it. I think it probably has to do with my past, though that's too personal to discuss on the forum. Anyhow, yeah, I DEFINITELY agree that the way you play Zangief is HILARIOUS!  Grin

Hey, thanks, man, I appreciate that.

As for the crying technique, your ability to do it would have nothing to do with you or your past. Remember that it has everything to do with your character and HIS past that affects HIS ability to cry. We, as actors, aren't even in the picture at that moment because the character is doing all the feeling and remembering himself.

As I'm fond of pointing out, my only contribution to Zangief is that I loan him my body and my voice. He does all the rest.
