I'm just as surprised! One angry poster said of our season premiere, "Chun Li is not white!"

Go figure! Huh

Wow... hehe.
I'm asian myself - filipino, but spend my childhood in Zambia, Africa, and have been fortunate to have travelled around the world, spend my time with different ethnicities, my closest childhood friends, being 1 indian, 1 filipino and 1 british. I've been able to reach 2 of the 3 friends after 15 years. I left Zambia long time ago.

I've had I childhood friend -zambian- that I used to walk home with after school, but not as close.

I'd like to say that they've casted Chun Li quite nicely, from facial features to character for the series.

I've had a crush on Chun-Li in street fighter - th early years, hehe, she still is a beautiful, strong character for me, I think she will be one of the street fighter characters who will be considered "immortal".

I don't see any problem if Ana Parsons is Filipino or any other nationality, she could be swedish or Norvegian,
she is perfect as Chun Li in TLY, it's the most important.

I have to agree that Ana was really well cast. Another great choice by Sam Reich.
