Now that castmate Luis de Amechazurra is onboard here with us, it really makes me want to take a closer look at his character, M. Bison.

General Bison built his empire initially on the sale of weapons and drugs worldwide with a lot of money laundering to cover his tracks, then got involved with the Street Fighter tournaments, amassing even more riches. He didn't stop there, of course.

All the "Big 12" of Street Fighter II are possessed of superpowers which have always been of interest to him; particularly those of Ken and Ryu whose mastery of the Hadou has always made Bison want to somehow extract, harness and pervert those powers to his own evil purposes in his relentless quest for world domination (he's just your garden variety megolomaniac supervillain, isn't he?). All this, as if his terrifying Psycho Power wasn't enough!

A few of the Street Fighters were more easily corruptible than the others and became fellow Boss Characters. Balrog, the former street thug who turned professional boxer, ex-convict and Muy Thai King Sagat and soap opera idol by day/psychotic claw flashing killer by night Vega, all of whom form Lord Bison's formidable team of henchmen. Zangief also worked on the team but was probably not considered intelligent enough to be an actual Boss Character (as if Balrog is, LOL) but, because of the Russian's unmatched sheer brute strength, he not only became Bison's hired muscle and personal bodyguard but Zangief's superpowers were enough to interest him in performing experiments on him and developing Zangief into a fighter who could assume an armored form called Mech Zangief, a prototype for an army of such iron-skinned brutes which he'd planned to unleash upon an unsuspecting world.

Another reason that Zangief did not qualify as a Boss was very likely his moral opposition to the evil Shadowlaw organization. Zangief, however, was not sharp enough to figure out that his master, M. Bison, was, in fact, the head of Shadowlaw and that the base of operations at which Zangief lived and worked with Sagat and the others was actually the very headquarters of Shadowlaw. Poor Zangief.

Over the years we have seen many examples of Zangief's fearlessness; in the face of his many opponents in the ring as well as against any person or group that has ever threatened harm to his Mother Russia (he even saved President Gorbachov from an assassination attempt which earned him yet another scar on his already battle-worn body). Lord Bison, however, just might be the only man on Earth of whom Zangief is truly afraid, which would explain why the fearsome wrestler would tolerate such abuses from Bison over the years as seen here:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hT1a225Babs

and...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eYZmsFevrCk&mode=related&search=

We're talking about a ruthless and scary character here! Even today in The Later Years it's obvious that Zangief still has a healthy respect for and fear of his former boss.

I'd love to hear Luis' and everybody's input on M. Bison, truly one of the baddest of bad guys not only in video games but in the world of super villains in general.

I object to any suggestion that I am evil and I would want the record corrected.  I am only doing what I know is best for me and therefore, for mankind.  When you are in a war and you kill the enemy you are not being evil, merely doing your duty.  Duty to yourself and to your cause.  When the allied forces incinerated Dresden, were they being evil just because tens of thousands of civilians were killed in the process.  No!!!  They were merely in quest of a greater good.  When I kill, I don't necessarily enjoy killing, I am merely doing my duty to mankind, my job.  That I enjoy fulfilling my duty to mankind and doing my job makes it no less a fruitful experience, no less a benficial experience than when a surgeon saves a life or re-attaches a limb nor should it be a less joyful one when I do my job.  The surgeon is fulfilling his destiny and I am fulfilling mine and my destiny is to lead the world.  Understood???  Lord Bison

Thank you for sharing your side of the story, Mr. Bison. Now, if you'd please, I have some questions for you.

  • Why do you believe your destiny is to lead the world?
  • When did you realize it? How old were you?
  • In your heyday, you crushed your opponents with Psycho Power. At your present age, how much do you have left?
  • You say you kill out of duty to mankind. How, then, was killing (a) Chun-Li's father, (b) Dhalsim's father, (c) Vega's father, and (d) most of Zangief's extended family in line with that duty?
  • Why was taking out Dhalsim's eye necessary?
  • It is almost 2008. You're not yet world leader. How do you feel about your lack of success?
  • As world leader, what would you do for mankind? What changes would you make?
  • Finally, what are your thoughts on Ra

Let me answer a few of these questions from Deco Bryl one at a time.  First:

1.  Why do you believe your destiny is to rule the world?  When did you realize it?  How old were you?

ans:   One simply knows.  You know from birth that you are different from all others and meant to lead.  You know from the beginning that the world needs you.  The chaos that exists in the world today is simply because the world does not have a true leader.  Like me, for example.  Nobody elected Alexander or any other great leader.  Great leaders like General Patton are loathed by the ordinary peple because they do not understand his mind; they cannot understand his mind.  So ordinary people try to destroy the Pattons of this world.  That cannot happen to me.  They, the ordinary people are incapable of understanding the mind of a truly great thinker so I don't care what they think.

2.  In your heyday, you crushed your oponents with psycho power.  At your present age, how much do you have left?

ans:  My powers are so far superior to anyone else's that even as I age they still far surpass that of all others.

3.  You say you kill out of duty to mankind.  How then was killing Chun Li's father, Dhalsim's father, Vegas father, and most of Zangief's extended family in line with that duty?

ans:  That is a silly question.  How many questioned the decision to incinerate Dresden and most who died there were civilians??  Winning is everything and the Cause is everything and nothing can stand in its way.   And, of course, the cause is me.

I will answer the other questions later.  M. Bison

Going on with Deco Bryl's questions:
5.  Why was takiing out Dhalsim's eye necessary.

Ans:   Another silly question!  Dhalsim should have ducked.  Street Fighting is a serious business and you learn from your mistakes and so has he.  I am in a wheel chair because I made the mistake of trusting incompetents to protect my headquarters and I will never make that mistake again.

6.  It is almost 2008.  You're not yet a world leader.  How do you feel?

Ans:   How would you feel wif you were surrounded with incompetents.  But, as they say, Rome wasn't built in a day and neither will my Empire.  Patience!!  Patience!!!!

7.  As world leader, what would you do for mankind?  What changes would you make?

Ans:  Simple, I would require that everyone do as I say and all conflict would end,  What greater gift to mankind can there be than to end all conflict.  But to get there, to reach our goal of ending all conflict, we must first fight all who stand in our way.

8:  Finally, what are your thought's on Raul Julia's portrayal of you in the movie Street Fighter.

Ans:   I was honored to have one of the all time great actors of cinema portray me.  However, he didn't write the screenplay nor did he hire Claude Van Damme so I do not fault him at all for the over all failure of the movie.  Such screen writers and casting directors as those that picked that cast and that screen play will be eliminated once I gain control over the world and then we will have nothing but good movies.  And, I would then appoint Sam Reich as overall commandant of the newly created Department of Screenplays and he would become a permanent member of my Cabinet as Secretary of Screenplays.

Mr. Bison, thank you very much for answering my questions. I'm sure you're a very busy man, so I'm doubly grateful. I look forward to seeing you in action in the upcoming tournament.

I've got a question for General Bison too:

Do you leave your coffee black or with milk?
