Sune, you are so on point!

One of our main strategies with "Street Fighter Reunion" will be to strike that balance even better that SF: TLY did. For all that, however, we'll still be seeing to it that our story lines, even with all the new revelations and twists, will nevertheless remain in keeping with SF canon. I've heard just about every excuse under the sun as to why it's impossible to do this in a live action format using the source material's legend and I still have no clue as to why almost everybody in the industry thinks it's so. All the SFR episodes written so far are packed with action, suspense and laughs and are more in keeping with Street Fighter canon than any other adaptation yet produced. Are we taking it to the next level? Sure we are, and that's because we're the only Street Fighter entity besides "Later Years" that depicts the World Warriors in the present. Our jumping off point, though, is everything you already know and with which you are familiar. This is, after all, your nostalgia and you can count on us to respect that!
