for some reason i wish they added strider hiryu he was in ken's stage in alpha 2
i think it'd be cool if he were in another fighting game.
Yeah it would be cool, but the character belongs to other world He was in Ken's stage in Alpha 2, because alpha 2 had all kinds of in-game jokes n stuff and Hiryu holding a teddy bear, was actually meant to be a "get well soon" message to one of Capcom members.. But you can always play as him in Marvel vs. Capcom, as well as he one of the most used characters in MUGEN rosters, so if you work with mugen you prolly can dowload all kinds of Hiryu versions on everywhere.. But ofcourse it would be fun to see him in 3D i knew about him being from another world. not about the get well soon message. but what i was thinking.. he'd be a secret character or a sub-boss and a space ship would be involved...

Hi Everyone, I just found this forum after wanting to find out more information about the actress portraying Chun-Li (not because I don't think she looks Asian because she definitely does). Street Fighter IV looks pretty sweet. Here's a page that has two other pictures: http://btomelee.net/?p=210The blog is a big fan of street fighter and posts up The Later Years videos whenever possible. Keep up the good work and I'm looking forward to episode VIII!

The new EGM magazine has quite a few pictures of Street Fighter IV and actually some gameplay impressions. If I ever scan them, I'll post it up here.

from what i've heard. the characters that at this point will be in the game ryu, ken, chun li, and dhalsim. but im not sure. I'm really hoping that vega will be game. he's been out of action for a long time. and I still say strider hiryu should join.

Yeah, it's been confirmed that Ryu, Ken, Chun Li and Dhalsim will be in the game. It does suck that Vega hasn't been in any SF games in a while. SF4 seems to have the right timeline though for Vega to come back. The game is set after SF II and before SF III.

I was wondering about the period. Ryu seems nicely filled out like a man in his forties would be but he still does look young enough in the previews to preceed SFIII. Thanks for clarifying, Chernggoh.

No problem. There's definitely a lot to look at in those trailers. GameTrailers did a crazy analysis of the video: http://www.gametrailers.com/player/28231.htmlIf you guys get a chance, read the issue of EGM. The cover story on SFIV is about 6-8 pages long with lots of pictures.

Yeah When I read about it, they said that they wanted to bring back all the most of the characters from the Sf II roster that were most recognizable so I'm hoping Zangief, Guile, Bison and Vega will return.

That is astoundingly beautiful and sharply detailed!
Seeing Ryu in such overall clarity and at every possible angle, just as you'd see him while facing him on the fighting stage yourself, is really making me start to appreciate why Zangief always wanted him, LOL!

Hey, he's more than a bear; he's a PIG! I like that they intend to make the game outcome not as inevitable as one might think in a scenario wherein your opponent is close to defeating you. Makes the endings more dramatic and even suspenseful. Of course, one's skillsets still have to be at or above the par of one's challenger but that's a good thing (to quote Martha Stewart, who's already devising a way to fashion paper lantern covers to turn hadoukens into clever room lighting).
